By using Slick, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
1. Eligibility
Slick is for users 13 and older. If you're under 13, you can't use Slick.
Early Access Notice: Slick is in early access. Some features, including Safe Search and optional accounts, are not fully implemented. Use responsibly and only if you meet the age requirements.
2. Use of the Service
Use Slick for legal purposes only. Don't:
- Use it to spread spam, malware, or harmful content
- Interfere with our systems
- Scrape or bulk-copy content
- Try to access areas or data you're not supposed to
- Submit URLs or content that are illegal or infringe on someone else's rights
3. Data Collection and Privacy
We keep data collection to a minimum. Here's the short version:
- We don't collect personal info like IP addresses, cookies, or your location
- We collect search queries to improve results and suggestions
- We log click data only when:
- You click a link submitted through our Search Console
- You click an ad (if one is shown)
- We don't track you, build profiles, or sell your data
4. User-Submitted URLs
Site owners can submit URLs through our Search Console. If you do:
- You're confirming you own or manage the site
- We may show you basic analytics like total click counts
- Don't submit anything harmful, illegal, or misleading
We can remove or reject URLs at any time.
5. Intellectual Property
Slick's design, logo, and code belong to us. You can't:
- Copy or replicate our interface, branding, or service
- Use our name or logo without permission
- Reverse engineer or redistribute our code
Search results and third-party content belong to their respective owners.
6. Disclaimers
Slick is provided as-is. We don't guarantee:
- That search results are always accurate or complete
- That the service will always be available or error-free
- That the service is free from viruses or harmful components
We're not liable for any damages from using Slick.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the extent allowed by law:
- We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability is limited to what you paid to use Slick, which is nothing
8. Indemnification
If your use of Slick causes claims, losses, or legal trouble for us, you're responsible for covering it.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Slick operates.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, the "Effective Date" at the top will change. That's your cue to re-read if anything matters to you.
